On Father's Day we went camping at Holland State Park. We were on site #1 - the only one available last minute for the whole weekend. On Friday evening Tom and Linda and the boys came for dinner, as well as Grandma and Grandpa VT. We finished dinner just in time for the rain, and we all crammed inside our tent-trailer. After a bit it cleared up and was beautiful. James loved everything - especially running around the campground and giving his bear stroller rides. At night James and Andrew went to bed and just giggled and laughed for about half an hour. It was great fun to listen to. Saturday morning we checked out deBoer Bakerij (sp?) and had a wonderful breakfast. Not the nutty-fried-cinnamon rolls we expected, but delicious nonetheless. Then we went to the beach. James was a bit timid and not sure he wanted to experience sand. In no time at all he was scooping sand onto his legs and running all over. He even went in the lake up to his knees. He was a bit crabby that we had to leave. In the evening we went to Beachwood Inn for dinner then had a nice fire before it started raining. Sunday we walked to the beach with the strollers and watched some boats come through the channel. Then we headed home after lunch. The boys were all tuckered out and both were asleep in no time. What a beautiful weekend!

Andrew had no fear of the sand at all. I wonder how many fistfuls he got in his mouth. Camping with Andrew was great. Nothing seemed to phase him at all, and he loved watching the trees, clouds, people, dogs, boats, and James.

Ken and James in the lake. James doesn't mind water as long as he's being held. We make sure to put a life-jacket on him. Better safe than sorry!

James fell through the chair...oops!

Sound asleep with Bear and a flashlight.
