July 6 - We got a slow start and let the kids play in the camper for a while. Then we hopped in the car and headed for Nordhouse Lake. The gravel road wasn't bad considering how much rain they had a few weeks ago and how much traffic goes back and forth. We took the short hike to the Lake and WOW was it full! The island that is usually in the middle was barely there. Mostly just trees sticking up out of the water. We saw a few baby frogs too.

Then we headed for the beach. Ken checked out the trash (his mom would be proud!) and after all was said and done, picked out three large trash bags full of cans. The beach was - ah - beautiful! The water was a little chilly, but we didn't stay in too long. James and Hope dug in the sand and climbed on driftwood. We went for a little walk to see the creek and check out the damage done from the storm. I'll post those pics later. Here's the beach.
